A chance of seeing this through? Only two chars of code that needs to be deleted.

Yep haven't forgotten about you. Will email you latest beta once I get a chance to build it.

I'll post here, so everyone else interested can keep track. Got the beta (finally) set as instructed . It seems to be working now just as expected. I'll keep using it and report after a while how it has been going, but I'm expecting it to be pretty much release ready in terms of Aquaero support. By the way I'm using the latest Aquaero 6 Pro USB, but I reckon all versions of Aquaero panels featuring the IR receiver and using the same Aquasuite software will behave identically.

I can also confirm that with the Aquaero support now this neat little IRDA credit card sized remote is fully working: :)

One quick remark is that the application window keeps opening up to secondary display, no matter where is was last minimized to tray or closed. This can be mildly cumbersome when your 2nd display is switched off.

Everything working perfectly so far. Just one tiny thing worth pointing out, that doesn't have any real impact on use though. Every so often when I maximize Intelliremote after my system's been on for an X amount of time (usually hours) it reads that there has been an unrecognized remote command, without any user interaction. I haven't seen any uninitiated tray blink and without any sort of logs I can only guess that these unfiltered redundant HID inputs might happen at a rate of once per hour or something like that. I haven't written the strings down, but yet I remember they all start with 01, which is something no remote I used so far uses. They might have more unchanging hexadecimals, but I can't say without logging things down.

Does Intelliremote have the sort of logging capabilities that logs down all button presses?

Yes in Intelliremote if you go to Settings tab and turn Log Level = DEBUG.

Then anytime you want to see the log just go to Settings->Open Log File...

I explained myself poorly. I tested earlier that DEBUG logging, but what it does is it also logs those filtered 0C inputs, which aren't registered in the GUI. This makes the log file ridiculously long very soon, not to mention after hours. INFO and WARN doesn't seem to log HID input at all.

Ahhh yes I must log all input received immediately so you can see everything coming in and then filter out after that log statement.
I am not sure I want to modify that behavior only because for other remotes if people are diagnosing issues they want to see what all is coming in from their HID remote to help troubleshoot issues.

I don't log anything at INFO level because that is normal operating level and i want minimal log output not to burden the CPU. DEBUG is meant to degrade performance but provide as much info to troubleshoot.

Can you search the log for "Unrecognized Remote Command" and you will know its the previous HID entry that does not being with 0C.

I'll leave it to DEBUG and see how it deals with the massive HID flow.

Here's another one. So far seems to start with 01 00:

That DEBUG mode is of little use. It seems to be be able to only hold 36 minutes worth of logging with the constant unfiltered HID flow. That's insane amount of pages, though. Can't say really how many, but a lot.

(edit: filtered->unfiltered)

Well for 99.9% of remotes the don't work like the Aquaero which is spewing out constant HID Stream. 99.9% of remotes only send data when a remote button is pushed thus the DEBUG is quite useful. However I have a 10 MB limit on that log file because I didn't want it to grow forever on a user's machine. I guess it makes sense the Aquaero is filling up the log in 36 minutes with how much HID data it spews out.

I will have to build you a BETA if you need this to run overnight to try and figure out what is sending those unrecognized remote signals and you need the log to watch for them.

It seems that it might send a couple of instances of those 01 codes only withing the first minute of system startup. Here's a portion of the log after a 45 seconds of entering Windows:

It looks like it might not send those after the system startup anymore.

But this is of no real significance, anyway. I don't really see the need for you to revise that logger for this. Only if you'd like to polish that Aquaero support to one hundred percent for release version, then I'd be up to go ahead. On the other hand the most straightforward way to deal with this would probably be to just add to filter out HID starting "01 00" as well. I haven't seen a remote strings yet beginning even with only 01.
