Windows 10: start netflix:

Postby tfcbacct » Mon Mar 28, 2016 10:33 am

Hi,

It appears as though apps download from the Windows Store are somewhat different than traditional apps.

For example, the Netflix app can be launched using the command start netflix:

How can I use Intelliremote to launch an app using this format?

Any ideas on how to launch PlayOn (I can't get it to work even from the command line).

Thanks,

Tim

So think you mean people starting netflix like this...

Why not use an Intelliremote Application Event or Script Event like...

Code: Select all
CommandLine("start", "netflix://")

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately it doesn't work on my system. When I click the appropriate remote button I receive a dialog box requesting that I select an application.

I was successful using an Application Event to launch PlayOn using this strategy:

Sadly the PlayOn app doesn't have any sense of responding to keyboard events.Oh well.
