Another wish for library browsing

Postby aljordan » Tue Dec 22, 2009 10:32 am

Hi,

I purchased RiverMote yesterday, not knowing at the time that library browsing is not supported. I looked on the iTunes App Store description and couldn't find any information regarding this limitation. I realize that you have to work within the API, although in my opinion the usefulness of RiverMote is quite limited because of the lack of library browsing. You should update the iTunes store description to make this clear, as library browsing is expected in this type of purchased application.

I agree. Which is why our MonkeyTunes product is a 500% superior product to RiverMote. The JRMC API is just too limited as seen by this thread here with the owner of JRMC Jim Hillegas.

If anything go and vote for JRMC to give developers access to the whole library!!!

I can change the AppStore description right now. It will take about 4 hours to show up... I just added this...

WARNING: Due to the lack of library access through the JRMC SDK API the ability to browse your entire library is NOT available in Rivermote.

I've added a request to your J-River thread. Hopefully others who would like to see this feature will do the same.

Thanks,
Alan

Thanks hopefully it will help. Jim H doesn't seem to like anyone saying something JRMC "can't"do and edits my posts.

I know it's pointless, but I just wanted to add my voice to those asking for library browsing. I thought I'd be able to work around it, but that's not been the case. I've gone back to iTunes and Remote because of this issue. I realise this is a JRiver problem. I just wish they'd do something about it. I'll add a request to your thread as well, for all the good that will do.

Thanks
