Also x10 Commander shows driver: x10 DLL v3.0.0.239. Does that look right?

So I tried X10 Firecracker software on this setup and I can dim lights using cm19a, but not with x10 Commander right click DIM using cm19a. Why is that?

Melloware,

Can you fix this issue with CM19a not dimming with x10 Commander ? I need this for my echo functionality. I would be happy to test the fix for you.

Let me know.

Thanks

Hmm I know Dimming works as you can see from the many threads on this board over the years like this one...

viewtopic.php?f=13&t=10710

Is it possible you need to upgrade your X10 Drivers to this one? http://melloware.biz/download/warez/ahsdk_install.exe

Mellowware,

I tried the driver update but no help. I borrowed a CM11a to try and dimming works with that but I need to use the cm19a and dimming does not work with that. Can you help?

Thanks!

I would say post your log here dimming with teh CM19. If the driver SDK will report back in the log whether the DIM "succeeded" or not. If it succeeded then that is the device reporting back to me that it took the DIM command.

OK, here is the log with cm19a. I tried right clicked dim several times. Please note that CM19a dims properly when used with x10 Firecracker software but not with x10 commander.
Thanks for the help!

So what is really weird is this part of the log. Anything that is EVENT is coming back from your X10 Network.

Code: Select all
1/15/2017 12:27:17 PM [ INFO] EVENT ActiveHome: bszAction:"recvrf", bszParm1:b16, bszParm2:Dim, bszParm3:0, bszParm4:1/15/2017 5:27:18 PM, bszParm5:
1/15/2017 12:27:17 PM [ INFO] EVENT ActiveHome: bszAction:"RecvPlc", bszParm1:b16, bszParm2:Dim, bszParm3:3, bszParm4:, bszParm5:

It is sending two events 1 PowerLine and 1 RadioFrequency. It looks like the Radio Frequency has a DIM amount of 0 and the Powerline has a dim amount of 3.

it doesn't X10 Commander sends 1 command...

Code: Select all
1/15/2017 12:27:28 PM [ INFO] MENUTurning device B16 DIM 10

And your X10 network is blasting out two events that we are receiving as notifications...

Code: Select all
1/15/2017 12:27:17 PM [ INFO] EVENT ActiveHome: bszAction:"recvrf", bszParm1:b16, bszParm2:Dim, bszParm3:0, bszParm4:1/15/2017 5:27:18 PM, bszParm5:
1/15/2017 12:27:17 PM [ INFO] EVENT ActiveHome: bszAction:"RecvPlc", bszParm1:b16, bszParm2:Dim, bszParm3:3, bszParm4:, bszParm5:

This is what I discovered. To use the cm19a and have it dim, the "Device Type" must be set to "Power Line" in the x10 Commander GUI even though it communicates via RF. Not very intuitive! If it is set to RF it will control the device but not DIM

The reason I was getting 2 commands on the network was that I had both CM11 and CM19a connected to pc and was just setting interface to RF device type thinking that would only trigger the CM19 since the CM11 is PLC only. Aparently not true.

I am seeing a problem with the DIM command using the CM15A and LM465 Lamp Module. The Dim command does dim the lights, however it is always at a set amount (looks like the 10% people have been discussing).

Looking and the X10 Command logs the command comes through correctly with the specified dim value that was given to Alexa, but the lights always seem to only DIM the same each time. When using my Android app and the DIM command I am seeing the same thing. No matter where the slider is and pressing DIM, the lights only DIM the same amount each time.

If I use AHP to dim the lights they DIM as expected.

Is there something I need to setup differently to get this to work the same as AHP?

Http: command
?x10command=DEVICE~sendrf~%22G3%20DIM%20${intensity.percent}%22%27
X10 shows command received as "G3 DIM 50"

Thanks

In X10 Commander PC app do you have "CM15/19 USB" selected or "Marmitek CM15Pro" selected? They are very different devices and make sure you have the right one selected.

Can you paste your X10 Commander log file here?
