Connect over 3G/Edge

To get working over 3G you actually have to do a couple of things.

1. Register for a DynDNS account it's Free: http://www.dyndns.com/

2. Read this howto document: http://www.dyndns.com/services/dns/dyndns/howto.html

3. My biggest problem was actually punching through my Router to be exposed. Luckily I have a Linksys Wireless-G router so it has a DynDNS updater built into it and there are great instructions for getting your Router working. This site is AWESOME = http://portforward.com/ You just find your router model and then click on an application like Azureus. Follow the instructions exactly except pick Port 6004 instead of the Azureus port 4001.

4. Don't forget the Static IP Address Step! http://portforward.com/networking/staticip.htm

5. Then you just modify your Zwave Commander settings in the iPhone to use "your.dyndns.org" or whatever your URL is instead of the IP 192.168.1.XXX.

For example here was the page I used to get setup...
