Forum to discuss Lightswitch/ZWave Commander iPhone/iPod/iPad/Android home automation application
I've been tinkering with a Vera 3 and Vera Mobile and Z Wave commander. I am becoming more convinced that the Z Wave client app has no idea of really what is happening on the server side EG is the light already on? Did my command to turn the light off actually work etc.
Is this so? If so, this is a HUGE fault and one might as well go back to X10 as it has no confirmation of state changes.

Wait so there are 2 different things here...
1. Vera 3 and Vera Mobile
2. Zwave Commander.
When you say the app doesn't know the light is "already on" are you referring to Zwave Commander or Vera3+VeraMobile?
All I can say is if you are using Zwave Commander with a certified Zwave Server app then it absolutely knows the current states of your lights and when a light is switched off in your house it notifies the connected clients (ie your mobile device). If that is not happening then something is wrong with your Zwave setup.
