Windows 7 (64-bit) report

Postby anderuser » Wed Jun 23, 2010 8:33 pm

Hi,

I've just installed PBE 1.1.0.61 in Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit), and it worked fine for me. The only quirk is that the Test button shows no changes. However, after you click Save, the changes do take effect and do show when you click Test.

Thanks for this swell app. I can't believe Microsoft added this functionality in Vista, then took it away again in Windows 7. Did they think it was too confusing for people? Maybe they got us mixed up with Mac owners.

HA! Yeah the Test only works after you do Save because I have to make sure those changes are in the registry. The Test was just a shortcut so you wouldn't have to go find an app to use to test the Open Dialog. :)

Sometimes I just don't know what Microsoft thinks!

There's some translation between the listing in the drop down and what Win7 calls things. Also, I'm trying to find a way to duplicate the default "Libraries" does anyone know how to do this? Using C:\Users\~username~\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Libraries doesn't seem to produce the same results.

I am not sure it's possible. I have searched for the CSLID for Libaries but have found nothing. I did find this article about Libraries.

Yeah, all I could find was http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library ... 85%29.aspx which says there is no CSIDL. It sure seems like there should be a way to get to it if it's the default (not that lots of things don't behave as they seem they should). I've also found that a REG_EXPAND_SZ doesn't expand in this location
