Did you try the "Defaults" button? That resets everything back to Windows Original settings.

Hit the "Defaults" button then hit the "Test" button. The Defaults buttton removes ALL the registry entries written back to default. It looks like they are all set to Desktop but they are not, they are set to Windows defaults. Let me look and see how you can make one My Computer....

Thanks for the feedback ISTARTH! I have fixed the first error with not being able to select My Computer. However the second error I cannot reproduce. I am using Office 2003. And when I set folders it makes the icons small to fit the 10 icons. When I press "Defaults" and then "Test" it goes back to 5 icons of normal size. I am using Windows XP SP2 and Office 2003.

OK I put a new version 1.0.5.36 here...

http://melloware.com/download/warez/PlacesBar.zip

You can now select My Computer as an option in the folders.

I'm experiencing the same issue with all buttons saying "Desktop" after clicking the defaults button. If I had known this program was editing the registry before tinkering with it I would have made a backup first. Now I'm not sure how to fully "uninstall" the software because I can't get the buttons back to what they were.

Just press the "Defaults" button on the top of the toolbar. Don't press "Save" press "Defaults". Voila your regisry is fixed.
