Postby Melloware » Thu Oct 07, 2010 9:13 pm

THis is why...

Code: Select all
10/7/2010 12:01:36 AM [ INFO] Intelliremote Version: 2.7.7.904

You need to be running the latest 2.7.9 version you were sent in an email on June 22, 2010. The 2.7.7 version no longer works with the latest Intelliremote iPhone app.

Also what is strange is your IP address is being reported as 127.0.0.1 which is "localhost".

Code: Select all
10/7/2010 12:01:36 AM [ INFO] IP Address: 127.0.0.1

That is very odd it should be a 192.168.xxx.xxx address.

But I do see in your log that the iPhone did connect successfully...

Code: Select all
10/7/2010 12:15:38 AM [ INFO] Socket Connect: 192.168.1.101
10/7/2010 12:16:06 AM [ERROR] Connection Closed Gracefully.
10/7/2010 12:16:06 AM [ WARN] Socket Server Error: [192.168.1.101] Connection Closed Gracefully.

Now the iphone app just seems to initialize forever.
Is there a location where that localhost may be stored in error that I may make the correction?

That localhost value is what Intelliremote thinks is your PC's IP Address. That gets initialized when you boot and your PC connects to the WIFI or LAN network and is assigned by the Router or Cable Modem like 192.168.XXX.XXX but yours is definitely not appearing that way which makes me think something is wrong. It looks like your iPhone has a correct IP address though...as you can see in your logs this is the iPhone connecting....

Code: Select all
192.168.1.101

Log file now showing proper local IP address in PC application.
Same error message still appearing on iPhone and no connection.

Tried removing and reinstalling, on reboot got same "bad" ip of local host 127.0.0.1 being reported in the intelli PC application instead of the proper ip reported by the network properties.

All internet functionality normal, all remote control functionality (including ati remote wonder plus) non-functional.

Ugggh, please use any other IP address other than 192.168.1.100 that is a special IP Address

IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.100

Use 192.168.1.105 or something like that.

If you need a reason why .100 is special please see this post...

Manually changed IP address and presto, we have operation of remote power through iphone.

Just a few quirks to note:
a) the pc intelliremote application still reports my ip as 127.0.0.1 even thou i am now 192.168.1.116
b) the buttons on the iphone application are really small and cumbersome, can these be user changed?
Apply iphone applications have 2-3 buttons that are nice and huge for easy clicking.
Putting buttons like the arrows, number pad, and vcr (play/ff/stop etc) can all easily be hidden by 3 main buttons.
For example
screen loads click ARROWS -> then 4 arrows appear on the screen.. just the 4 arrows..

So in summary, iphone app operational but usability severally limited because of current UI :(

Nice! Please do an Itunes AppStore review! I will mark this ticket SOLVED.

Re: [SOLVED] iPhone Server Error

Postby Theomas » Sat Mar 26, 2011 9:48 am

I may be having a similar problem on Iphone4. My intelliphone has Ip 192.168.1.100, my Intelliremote has 172.20.10.4.
So to connect I change the Intelliphone IP to 172.20.10.4, but while this makes the Intelliphone show a connection, I cant use the buttons. The error is "SERVER CANNOT AUTHENTICATE THIS SESSION... Help, save me.

I think your error is different.

1. I need your Intelliphone version? 2.8.0.0?

2. I need your Intelliremote Server version?

3. Simply go to the Server on the Settings tab and click "View Log File.." button and see if there is any ERROR in your log file.
