Can I run intelliremote as a service on Windows Home Server

Postby jemhayward » Thu Aug 30, 2018 3:10 pm

I mainly use intellirmote to control my home automation using the web interface and running batch files that trigger various things. It works brilliantly, but it requires me to log in to my server to get the application to run (at startup) - so I have to leave my server running, logged in...

Is there any way to run intelliremote as a windows service, so I don't have to be logged in? I've tried installing as a service using NSSM and the service starts but the webserver doesn't come up, so I have no way to communicate with intelliremote.

It's not a big issue, but it would be nice if I could do it...

I have tried this before and the problem with trying to run it as a Service is how Intelliremote interacts with the USB devices and the logged in user. I remember not being able to get it to work because the Windows Service has some requirements that the Intelliremote app itself doesn't meet.
