MCE Color Button Not Working With Application Event

Postby Licourtrix » Thu Feb 19, 2015 9:09 am

I am using a Inteset INT-422 remote with one of the presets programmed to MCE. When I try to link the MCE color button (e.g. MCE Pictures, yellow) to an application event (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Kodi\Kodi.exe), nothing happens.

Here is an excerpt of my log file

It looks like your profile is still set to send MCE Picture of CTRL+I.

Code: Select all
2/19/2015 8:05:03 AM [DEBUG] UDP: [192.168.1.23] 31670
2/19/2015 8:05:03 AM [DEBUG] BroadcastExtendedKey 73 17 -9999 -9999
2/19/2015 8:05:03 AM [DEBUG] Key Event Sending = ^i
2/19/2015 8:05:03 AM [DEBUG] UDP: [192.168.1.23] MCE Pictures

So to me its getting the MCE Pictures button press from the remote but it is mapped to a Key Event and not an Application Event. Are you sure you editing the correct profile in Intelliremote?

I was definitely mapped to an application event (I've since changed it to a script event).

My profile is always set to MCE Win 7.

Everything will work fine if the INT-422 remote is set to a (Sony) Blue-ray Mode and I use the MCE button. But if I change the setup to use the MCE button with the remote set to MCE/WMC it fails. The former option is not a bad work around, but not my ideal solution.

Here is an example of me trying to use the exact same event and only changing the learned IR code. First I try the MCE green color button in the remote's MCE/WMC mode, then I use the same button in he remote's Blu-ray mode.

2/24/2015 10:01:04 PM [DEBUG] UDP: [192.168.1.23] start kodi

I tried disabling MCE defaults with this
reg add HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsMediaCenter /v MediaCenter /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f
but it had no effect.
