[SOLVED] Imonkey Server hanging up

Hi,
I have just purchased iMonkey for my iphone and I am trying to get the "monkey server" working on my computer.
I have mediamonkey gold installed.
I have the "Remote Speaker Output" plugin installed.
I had to change the media monkey shortcut to prevent the splash screen from coming up.(as you know, it was causing media monkey to hang up on the splash screen)
It works fine.
Media Monkey is hanging up again now that I am trying to run the monkey server exe.
I cant seem to be able to change the monkey server exe with the "/no splash" rule that I added to the media monkey shortcut.
Is there any way to get this working?

Are you using iMonkey or MonkeyTunes. It sounds like you are using iMonkey.exe?

I start MediaMonkey through the COM interface so I don't believe you can start with NOSPLASH from iMonkey. The bigger issue is figuring out what is causing MM to hang with the NOSPLASH feature off.

It typically means you have a bad plugin or corrupt plugin or database.

Sorry, I was getting your plugin confused with imonkey :(
But, the good news is....I downloaded your software, installed it, and had it working perfectly in under 5 minutes!!
I just purchased a license from you and have replaced the license in my monkeytunes folder
I hate Itunes and now with mediamonkey and monkeytunes I think I can kiss them goodbye (or should I say kick them in the ass).
Wonder if I can get a refund for the imonkey app that I just purchased?

Gerry,

Simply contact Apple and say you purchased it by mistake they will refund your cash through iTunes!

Thanks for the props about MonkeyTunes...I am VERY happy with the way it came out. And thanks for the purchase!

I just contacted iTunes and reported the problem but they did not give me a refund :(
They just sent me back to see you to work it out.
Dont suppose you could give me a refund on the app (as I did just purchase monkeytunes and dont need imonkey)

Gerry unfortunately there is no way for me to verify your iMonkey purchase. I am really sorry but Big Brother Apple does not provide developer's with details about who, what or when purchases take place. The only thing they tell developers is how many units sold in a month.

I am surprised I know others have had no problems getting refunds from iTunes because I see on my reports from Apple how many are refunded a month. They should not send you to the developer??? They always usually just refund the purchase if you say it was by mistake?

Well, there was my mistake :oops:
I said that I couldn't get it to work with my computer.
Well....lesson learned.
It was only 5 or 6 bucks anyways :D
