Connection Issues

Postby jgaffney » Mon Mar 05, 2012 8:39 pm

Greetings,
I recently rebuilt my PC and since I am unable to get River Mote working again.

I have a clean install of win7 x64, and J River Media Center 17.0.99
I have also updated the latest iPhone app.

I have disabled the firewall and virus apps.

When I start rivermote, I get the red icon in the taskbar.
When I attempt to connect with the Rivermote app via an iphone the icon turns blue.
However, I get nothing on the phone, it just spins the progress circle and nothing ever happens.

Below is my rivermote log.

Update: It seems I can work around this issue by generating an access key within J River and using that instead of the IP address. The issue with that is I have multiple machines I connect to with River Mote. The access keys are random strings so there is no easy way to flip between machines, I use to just change IP as those are fairly easy to remember.
Is there a fix that will allow me to connect with just the IP and port?
Thank you.

It looks like some app called /myRiver.swf which is Adobe Flash was being requested by HTTP! That is not our iPhone client as it does not use HTTP but TCP on Port 6002.

Code: Select all
3/5/2012 7:25:25 PM [ INFO] COMMAND GET /MCWS/v1/Alive HTTP/1.1
3/5/2012 7:25:25 PM [ INFO] COMMAND Host: 192.168.0.5:6002
3/5/2012 7:25:25 PM [ INFO] COMMAND User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (iOS; U; en) AppleWebKit/533.19.4 (KHTML, like Gecko) AdobeAIR/3.1
3/5/2012 7:25:25 PM [ INFO] COMMAND Accept: */*
3/5/2012 7:25:25 PM [ INFO] COMMAND Referer: app:/My River.swf
3/5/2012 7:25:25 PM [ INFO] COMMAND x-flash-version: 11,1,102,58
3/5/2012 7:25:25 PM [ INFO] COMMAND Accept-Language: en-us
3/5/2012 7:25:25 PM [ INFO] COMMAND Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate
3/5/2012 7:25:25 PM [ INFO] COMMAND Connection: keep-alive

I think that is the issue?
