Run As Windows Service

Postby Melloware » Wed Dec 10, 2008 10:26 am

If you want to run ZWaveCommander as a Windows Service so it runs when you are not logged in try these instructions i received from another user....

It's called Service Any. I believe it's actually part of a Windows NT/200 Resource Kit.

Sending attached files did not work so I provided a link
Link to download : ...

Copy files to a directory of your choice(c:\reskit), install the service from the command line(INSTSRV ZWaveCommander c:\reskit\srvany.exe), add the respective key to the registry(using regedit add a 'Parameters' key under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ZWaveCommander, under your new 'Parameters' key, create an 'Application' value (REG_SZ type) and give the value the path to your ZWaveCommander installation directory , check the box Allow service to interact with desktop(under computer management>services>ZWaveCommander(second radio button 'Log on')
