[SOLVED] Reset Latitude/Longitude

Postby rkivz » Tue Jul 26, 2011 1:52 am

This Isn't Really A Big Problem But Is There A Way To Reset The Latitude/Longitude So That My Lights That Are Set To Come On And Off At Sunset/Sunrise Do So A Little More Accurately? I Use Think Essentials To Set Up The Z Wave Network And Then ZC To Control It. In Think Essentials, It Asks For The Closest State To You And That Seems To Be How The Lat/Long Is Set. I Live In Iowa And For Me The Closest Option Was Chicago. Unfortunately, That Means At Night My Lights Go Off About An Hour And A Half Before There Is Any Daylight Out, Leaving My Security Cameras Blind. Is There A Way I Can Change This In ZC To Make This Process More Precise And If So, How Can I Get My Accurate Lat/Long? As Always, Thank You So Much For Your Time And Support!

If you use any Google Site that looks up your Longitude and Latitude you can then enter them in Zwave Commander. Just make sure to use positive numbers NO negative number. Then it will be down to the Minute for your Sunrise and Sunset in your Area.

Just use two digits. So for Philadelphia, PA its...

Lat: 39.94
Long: -75.15 (but enter 75.15 in the UI)

You can do the same in zVirtualScenese except I think it requires the minus sign of -75.15.
