Sending a single command from Android

Postby jemhayward » Fri Jul 01, 2016 1:22 pm

I use Intelliremote running on my home server, and I control it from my phone using the web interface, using a customised version of the iphone.htm file. It works perfectly.
I'm now getting into controlling my phone by NFC tags in various places. What I would like to be able to do is write something to a NFC tag, which will send a single specific instruction to the server (specifically to switch on my lounge lights when I place my phone on the table).
Has anyone worked out how to do this?

I think what I'm trying to do is emulate a curl call to the webserver that intelliremote runs... what I'm unsure of is what that request would look likle, as I don't really understand how the scripting of iphone.html works.

I think the clue is in the 'fetch' function which appears to append the date and time to the reference to the button I'm trying to activate... am I on the right track?

If you look in our user manual PDF for how to use the "HTTP Web Server Control" on Page 41-ish.

Ah, yes RTFM... actually I'd forgotten there was a manual... of course this works perfectly! Is there anything this wonderful software cannot do? Many thanks, Intelliremote runs my life, if it ever stops working I probably couldn't function! Anyway, when I get home, I put my phone down on my side table, and it launches my music system, and switches the lights to listening mood... my life is complete :D
